Örebro Skatepark

Skatespots Sweden Posted on Sun, September 18, 2016 20:48:41

Örebro skatepark is a one of the new larger parks bulit in Sweden. Great park. Smooth concrete. It is a nice atmosphere and lots of stuff to skate. Though I would say it is a bit off. Not close to the city center so there is not very much to see nearby.

Örebro has got a university and a castle. There is a cool feel to the city so a walk around the city is a good idea. Visit the castle.

Castle on an island. Playful sculptures.

Frysen Stockholm Skatepark

Skatespots Sweden Posted on Sun, June 19, 2016 10:50:46

This indoor skatepark is situated pretty much in downtown Stockholm. The area is part of Söder but acctually it is south of Söder on the mainland.

The surroundings are very nice and there are plenty of opportunities to take a walk, have a coffe or meal while waiting. Walk along the boardwalk by Hammarby sjö or check out the architecture of in this newbuilt district. It used to be an industrial ruff area and now it is a growing residential area.
Across the water you can visit Söder.

The skatepark has a huge vertramp, bowl and miniramp in the ramp hall and a street area. Something for everyone.

Highvalley Skatepark Stockholm

Skatespots Sweden Posted on Tue, October 14, 2014 22:00:16

Higvalley is not in the nicest of areas but there is quite a good stretch to take a jog. But there is a radical arts center nearby. It´s a pretty cool building and it´s worth to check out.

The skatearea on the other hand is pretty amazing. Lots of different areas for all kinds of skating. Freestyle, bumps, ditch and a large poolarea. And a cafe that s open every now and then. Seems like its not quite ready or maybe it is…The plans were at first to build a much bigger park.

Cafe and lots of concrete.

Nighttime!

Pool area.Smaller and bigger.

Freestyle and bumps.

Jönköping

A goodlooking spot. Pity it is in such a dull location, trading area, out of town. The town is located on the shores of Vättern so I guess there is a seaside boardwalk and some possibility to have a nice day at sea. But I am still not charmed.

The flatarea seems nice and there is just the kind of space to make anyone want to make a try. The bowl is super, I am told.

It is a friendly spot, everyone can have a try. Have to give the town another chance.

Sitges

Skatespots Spain Posted on Sat, October 19, 2013 00:08:20

This is a pefect place if you feel like spending some time like a proper tourist, Lovely beachwalk by the Mediterranean, good food and lots of sun. But maybe the skatespot is gone because this was a long time ago…does not matter Sitges is a good place to be anyway.
Hot hotel room above great family restaurant.

It is quiet a decent ramp.Always nice to find a place like this in a sunny holiday town by the Mediterranean….love it. If you get restless put on your running shoes.
Or hang out at the ramp by the sea…smiley

Alcobendas

Skatespots Spain Posted on Fri, September 13, 2013 11:20:19

Madrid is perfect! No problem to keep yourself occupied. Prado, Sol, Plaza Mayor, tapas, football…you can go on forever. I just love this city.

Right beside Vincente Calderon there is a skatepark that looks great. Next time…
But this time, tapas…
And then off to Alcobendas. It takes quite a while to get there. In the suburbs past La Moralejas!!! That is the suburb with the smart villas. Alcobendas is a more modest suburb with nothing much to do except skating in the cool skatepark. Even the colors of the concrete is cool.

The park is big enough for BMX, Skateboard, scooters and there is a tenniscourt just beside. So this is for everyone smiley

There is no shadow anywhere to be found so the icecream bar is a must. Lots and lots of flavours. The bar is just behind the park.

This is one of my favorites spots so far…

Trenton,ON

Trenton Ontario

What brings you to Trenton? A very just question by the locals. It is not a place that has very much going for it. Especially not on a windy, coldish, rainy day in May.
So it is a bit surprising to find a spot as good as this right in the middle of a soccerfield/campingsite, in the middle of nowhere so to speak.

And the locals aren´t that many but very nice. Even on a day like this the park is visited by skaters, scooters, inliners….and tourists 🙂

This is not a bad place to stop by, on a long trip through Onatario and Quecbec. Going by car in Canada will always be long hours on the road.
On a day like this not even the lake got me wanting to jogg. There is nothing to do but stretch your legs and get yourself some fresh are.

There is room and place for cruising.
If you are a bit brave.
Or just check out the skaters!

Just a couple of miles south the next stop will be Kingston. Home of Bryan Adams, a prison and the military academy!

And after hours of travelling TORONTO! By the way there is no way you miss where Quebec ends and Ontario starts 🙂 Your car will tell you. Bumpy road QC, smooth road ON.
Beautiful!
